Company History
Home Sweet Home Pet Sitting was "born" in 2005, after I vacated my position at the Philadelphia Zoo, and it has grown on a yearly basis since that time. Experienced with a variety of animals, I knew I could provide a needed service to local animal lovers and owners....before long, I had my business license, insurance, and marketing strategy, and started building my business from the ground up.
I wanted to have the flexibility of running my own company and taking the best care possible of my clients pets and animals....and staying closer to home base meant I could also take better care of my own animals, and to assist in the many feral cat projects that I found myself involved in.
Initially, I tried to do all of the sits and care for my clients pets without any other assistance, but alas, duty called, and it kept calling, to the point where I enlisted the help of a few zoo keeper friends. Now I have a great regular replacement sitter that I use for overflow jobs, in times of emergencies, or just when I need one day off....
Mission Statement
It is our goal to please both the pets we care for and their owners. We strive to be the best at what we do, which involves not only the day to day care of your pet but also to adequately communicate with our clients via record keeping and open communication. We want to keep your pet as comfortable as possible and keep them in their regular routine, and tailer each pet sit visit to each individual animal. They each have different needs and it is our aim to provide all that they need in your absence.
